“Late Monday the Administration unveiled the new state website to manage information and take appointments for the new Phase 1B of COVID vaccinations statewide. While this site can work well for many, there are some issues that must be immediately addressed to make sure no one at high risk falls through the cracks.
Relying almost exclusively on websites to make appointments to be vaccinated obviously creates problems for seniors and others in our local communities who don’t use computers. My office is already receiving calls about this dilemma.
In addition, seniors and others with medical issues who live in rural communities may well find it difficult to travel to the nearest vaccination site many miles away.
My office has today been in contact with the Governor’s office and we have received assurances they will work with us on the necessary fixes in the next few days. We need to make sure everyone in the high risk category in all areas of the state can make arrangements to be vaccinated.”
