Governor Pritzker will give his combined Budget and State of the State Address in Springfield today at noon. The budget that will ultimately pass before we adjourn this spring directly impacts how much our families pay in taxes (state and property taxes) and also how much funding is available for schools, parks and police, among others. This year, how much taxpayer funding the governor is projecting to spend on our continuing migrant crisis will be a big factor.
