WATCH – State Representative Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) spoke on the House Floor Wednesday to outline the legislative games being played in Springfield during the final week of 2026 Spring Session.
“A deadline we have known about for months, yet somehow it never seems to matter until the eleventh hour when the state budget is finalized under the cover of darkness” said Rep. Halbrook. “Just last week, reports surfaced that House Democrats are once again discussing tax increases behind closed doors in caucus meetings.”
