Halbrook Announces Highway Projects Coming to the 107th

SHELBYVILLE, IL… State Representative Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) released the following statement regarding the upcoming transportation projects coming to the 107th District during Fiscal Years 2026-2029:

“I am pleased to see the inclusion of the 107th District in the robust Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Multi-Year Program,” said Rep. Halbrook. “I will continue to ensure downstate Illinois receives its fair share of investments. Safe and reliable infrastructure is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.”

Through 2031, $362,680,000 will be invested in 108 different projects, covering over 187 miles of road in the 107th District. The program spans several counties in the district as well as main roadways, such as I-57, I-70, U.S. 36, U.S 45, Fayette Avenue in Effingham, and other side streets. Key projects that will be completed include bridge reconstruction and preservation, pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction, and initial construction of new roads.
